Judyth Piazza chats with Lee Vervoort, Blood Moon and The B Movie Celebration
Well where do I start.
To say the least, Blood Moon, a science fiction/western set in the 22nd century, was a great set to work on.
The story revolves around a young woman, Annie, who flees Earth to one of Jupiters moons. The location is Ganymede.
On this desolate planet, she finds that it isn`t quite her best option.
After an affair with a Senator from Earth, an arrangement with a strange man, a bounty hunter, three evil men who pursue her, and a prisoner (played by yours truly) with a personal vendetta, Annie quickly discovers that she must learn to fight for a normal life.
The filming went fairly smooth. For you fellow filmmakers out there, you can imagine a few "quirks" here and there. As unit production manager, I held the responsibilty of making sure everything got done as needed, including a little bit of stunt coordination. Gotta love stuntwork.
Regardless of the quirks, we finished on time and created what will be a great film for all lovers of the genre to enjoy. Those who stood their ground and did their jobs in order to complete everything are the ones who will make it in the future of film.
Catch BLOOD MOON; a film production by the Indy Film Co-op of Franklin, IN. at the B-Movie celebration this September.
Update: Blood Moon makes the front page. I am on the left in the picture sitting at the table.
