Judyth Piazza chats with Gil Crosby, Organizational Development Consultant

I`m the son of an Organizational Development Consultant...Robert P. Crosby, whom Judyth Piazza nterviewed recently. He is also a Methodist Minister, which makes me a ODK-PK. I`ve followed in his footsteps and basically help people "be themselves" within organizations, and get organized to do the most important work. 

In other words, work places are more healthy and productive and profitable if most of the people are being honest with themselves and with others about what they want, think, and feel. That tone has to be set by the leadership, or it isn`t likely to happen. Actually, many leaders through unintentional behavior, are creating the opposite...a culture of fear, where most people are carefully hiding what they really want from each other, think about what`s happening, and feel. That cripples productivity and kills the human spirit. That`s what dad taught me to change, and I love it! 

As far as writing goes, I`ve written many articles for business journals and the like, and I publish an e-newsletter 3 times annually which has over 1600 readers. And I`ve just written my first book, a personal development self-help book entitled "Fight, Flight, Freeze: Taming Your Reptilian Brain and other Practical Approaches to Self Improvement." I`m very excited about it. Now if I can just find a publisher!
