Pulling a Rabbit Out of Your Hat

Pulling a Rabbit Out of Your Hat

By Joel G. Block (Mentor/Columnist)

Every provider of a product or service needs to wake up each morning ready to pull the proverbial rabbit out of a hat. It’s that winning attitude, that willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty, go the extra mile, that separates the great entrepreneurs from the mediocre, and those who build vibrant businesses from those who scrap by. Or not.

Your clients or customers aren’t the only ones who benefit from this attitude. If you work hard and look under every rock for ways to pull a rabbit out of your hat, you will be digging deep within yourself, as well. Not only will you help your customer be the best that he or she can be, you’ll find that you consistently outperform the competition. You’ll provide more value to your client than he or she expected, and you will probably even surprise yourself.

So, as you are working hard every day to build your company, or as you're building your career, dig deep within yourself to serve your clients, you may even pioneer new services or products that will move you closer to your goals.
