The world`s largest fast-food chain is optimistic about its business prospects in China. With plans to open about 500 new stores in the country in the next three years, McDonald`s Corp is trying to brave the global financial crisis which seems to have plagued many of its competitors.
Brian Durkin, vice president of development in Chain claims that McDonald`s China operations have not been heavily affected by the global financial crisis, claiming that it has taken steps to retain customers. With the global economic crisis hitting everything from business to housing, one wonders what if any plans, make businesses such as these resilient to recessions.
