Batman vs. Superman
One is from another planet called Krypton and raised on a farm in a town called Smallville by Martha and Jonathan Kent. He is a journalist for Metropolis' Daily Planet in love with his co-worker. He fights for truth, justice, and the American Way. He is Kal-El, last survivor of Krypton, reborn as Clark Kent known as the Man of Steel, called Superman.
He comes from one of the wealthy families in Gotham City. Lost his parents tragically when he was very young, fueled by grief, anger, revenge, as well as justice. He traveled around the world seeking the means to fight crime and injustice, stalking fear into the hearts of criminals. He is the night-- the Dark Knight Detective. He is Bruce Wayne, but we all call him Batman.
Though superheroes dedicated to protect the innocent, bring law and order, and fight the forces of evil that threatens humanity, Batman and Superman are completely polar opposites.
Superman is light because he inspires people and brings hope to the world, showing that we can make a difference not only in people's lives, but also in the world.
Batman is dark because he is grim, brooding, and tragic. The reason is he lost his family very young. Though he can't find peace, solace, and resolution for what happened to him, he finds purpose in battling the war against crime, refusing to be a victim. The Dark Knight Detective vows to make sure that what happened to him will not happen to anyone else-- not now, not ever.
What Batman and Superman also have in common is that each has their soul mates.
For the Man of Steel, it is Lois Lane. Smart, strong-willed, independent, and beautiful, the general's daughter will realize that she would have to share Superman/Clark Kent with the rest of the world.
For the Dark Knight Detective/Bruce Wayne, it is a beautiful yet notorious thief named Selena Kyle, but you know her as Catwoman. Though on opposite sides of the law, there is an instant attraction between them that can't be denied.
No matter how much they love these ladies, these two superheroes have a job to do.
Superman and Batman are as different as day and night. But they have committed their lives to help those in need, and will continue to do so until there is peace and harmony in the world. The Man of Steel and the Dark Knight are soldiers of the good fight, and we're proud to have them on our side.
