Dude Dressed Like The Joker Steals Dark Knight Posters From Theatre Lobby
"Police in Michigan have arrested a man who they say tried to steal posters and other items related to the new Batman movie from a cinema lobby while dressed up as the Joker.
Detective Mike Mohney said Monday 20-year-old Spencer Taylor of Three Rivers has been booked for investigation of larceny and malicious destruction of property.
Taylor is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 5 in St. Joseph County District Court."
Quoation from the Associated Press
This joker must have flunked Robbery/Burglary 101: The key to evading capture is to blend in with the crowd, dress as inconspicuously as possible. Even a four-year-old girl could accurately describe this clown to the police.
The real Joker would dismiss this imposter with his infamous disappearing pencil trick.
This amusing story illustrates the huge effect that the movie Dark Knight is having on popular culture. When a fool goes to great lengths to become peripherally involved or associated with a movie -- you know it`s a blockbuster.
I feel a little bit sorry for Taylor, he expected to have a great story to tell his friends:
Dudes, you ain`t gonna believe this sh**. I dressed up like the Joker and ripped of some "Dark Knight" posters in the lobby. I`m gonna sell them for hundreds of dollars on eBay.
Instead he is an international laughing stock, and is facing a few days in jail. Being the Joker is serious business, he should settle for playing the fool.
