Old Man Dies After His Co-Workers Toss Him In The Air
"A 60-year-old man who was thrown into the air in celebration at his retirement party died after his colleagues failed to catch him and he fell to the floor, a Japanese newspaper reported on Tuesday.
The case came to light after the man`s wife filed a police complaint against colleagues who threw the man up into the air, accusing them of gross negligence, the Mainichi paper reported on its website."
Allowing your drunk co-workers to throw you in the air is never a good idea, especially if you are a 60-year-old man. At that age you are likely to break a hip bone simply by plopping down on the sofa.
When I retire I`m going to celebrate with my life-long friends and family, and not with the clowns I work with. Knowing how uncouth and unclean they are, I wouldn`t let them shake my hand, let alone pick me up and throw me in the air.
According to the Reuters article the fall rendered the hapless retiree paralyzed, and he lingered on for ten months before he finally gave up the ghost. For those long months the immobile man probably dreamt of all the exotic places he planned to visit, and all the golf courses he wanted to play in his golden years. The torture, the horror!
I`m glad the widow filed a police complaint against the idiots who threw her husband into the air, but she also needs to file a lawsuit. And when she wins, I hope she has enough sense not to allow her friends to throw her in the air at her victory party.
