Dude Tries To Steal Laptop To Check Facebook

Dude Tries To Steal Laptop To Check Facebook

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Sheriff`s officers said a 19-year-old man snatched a Starbucks customers laptop after being told he could not use it to check his Facebook account. According to officers, the man then grabbed the customer`s laptop and ran out of the coffee shop, located in an outlet mall.

Two people in the parking lot tackled the man and held him there until a mall security guard arrived."

Some people are addicted to social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace, they check their accounts dozens of times a day to communicate with friends and check their email.

I rarely update my Facebook account, but I do check my computer throughout the day to check my email accounts. I  go into withdrawal  when I don`t have access to a computer for more than a day. I never want to return to the Dark Ages before YouTube, Google, Facebook, MySpace, NewsBlaze and TheSOP.Org.

I can almost empathize with this joker who grabbed a stranger`s laptop to check his Facebook page. How can you go a day without checking out the latest viral videos, reading your email and chatting with your online friends?

Even as I`m writing this letter I`m Instant Messaging two friends, sending IM`s is as natural as breathing. You can`t be online for too long without becoming an expert at multitasking.

The 19-year-old man has been charged with a felony, he paid a big price for his Facebook addiction. I wonder how he`s going to survive in jail for weeks without access to the Internet.
