Dad Calls 911: 28-Year-Old Son Wouldn't Clean Room

Dad Calls 911: 28-Year-Old Son Wouldn't Clean Room

By Robert Paul Reyes

"An Ohio man who argued with his grown son over a messy bedroom said he overreacted when he called 911. Andrew Mizsak called authorities Thursday after his 28-year-old son - who`s a school board member in the Cleveland suburb of Bedford - threw a plate of food across the kitchen table and made a fist at him when told to clean his room.

The son, also named Andrew, lives in a room in his parents` basement.

The father declined to press charges and told police he doesn`t want to ruin his son`s political career." The Associated Press

This story is wrong on so many levels. First of all, a 28-year-old man with a responsible and well paying job as a political consultant and a school board member shouldn`t be living in his parents` basement. The freeloader bragged to reporters that he wasn`t paying any rent; his parents should teach him how to be a responsible person by charging him rent or better yet by kicking him to the curb.

The son may be an adult but he hasn`t learned that you don`t bite the hand that feeds you. He gets free board and lodging, but he throws a plate of food at his dad.

The dad is a piece of work himself, he should know better than to tie up the 911 line with a non-emergency call. Like father like son, I hope the younger Andrew doesn`t have any kids.

The father declined to press charges, because he "doesn`t want to ruin his son`s political career." I`m afraid that he just torpedoed his son`s nascent political career, nobody is going to vote for a 28-year old man who is living in his parent`s basement. His son has a better chance of appearing on Jerry Springer than he does of being elected to another public office.
