Runaway Emu Causes Havoc On Highway

Runaway Emu Causes Havoc On Highway

By Robert Paul Reyes

"It was a pursuit of the animal variety Sunday morning as Scott County Law officers found themselves rounding up a loose emu on the interstate.

Since Friday motorists in Forest had been calling 9-1-1 reporting sightings of two emus on Interstate 20 and on Highway 80.

Culpepper and deputies were able to surround the animal but had to taser it to finally handcuff it and get it off the roadway.
It`s being held at the Scott County Forest Coliseum while investigators try to determine who owns it and where it belongs."

I had to do a Google image search to find out what an emu looks like, what did people do before the Internet?

An emu is an ugly huge bird native to Australia, what the hell was an emu doing in the States?

I love animals and I hate to see them suffer, but I don`t blame the police for tasing the hideous bird. Such a grotesque creature will make a grown man scream like a schoolgirl.

If nobody claims the emu the cops can kill it and donate the meat to a food bank. Australians love them some emu meat, it can`t taste that bad.
