Sister Tries To Kill Brother: Argument Over Mac And Cheese

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Police in Washington state said a 17-year-old girl allegedly attacked her brother with a knife-edged spatula during an argument about butter.

East Wenatchee police said the 21-year-old man had approached his 17-year-old sister June 6 while she was making macaroni and cheese and asked if she was using real butter or margarine, the Wenatchee (Wash.) World reported Tuesday.

`They began to argue over the difference of real butter to margarine,` Officer Carrie Knouf wrote in her report." UPI

I could survive in the aftermath of a nuclear war as long as I had bottled water and macaroni and cheese. I buy the pre-packaged mac and cheese, and I doubt that it contains real cheese or real butter.

The 21-year-old man has a more sophisticated palate than I, and when his sister was making mac and cheese he asked if she was using butter or margarine.

His sister is of the opinion that there isn`t much of a difference between butter and margarine, and she drove her point home by trying to cut his neck with the serrated edge of a spatula.

A spatula doesn`t look like a very intimidating weapon, but the moment his sister brandished the cooking implement he should have immediately deferred to her superior knowledge of the culinary arts.

The dude should have been grateful that his sister was making mac and cheese for him, and he shouldn`t have been so picky. When I was a kid, my sister wouldn`t even microwave popcorn for me.

The young lady was charged with fourth-degree assault, and the brother was charged with being an idiot.
