Mom Donates Aerator Stuffed With Money To Thrift Store

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Florida woman said she is searching for the man who purchased a fish-water aerator from a thrift shop because it contained her son`s $900 savings.

Lisa Edwards, 46, said she was cleaning her house Sept. 8 and donated the aerator from the bedroom of her son, Zachary, 17, to the Candlelighters of Brevard Thrift Shoppe in Indian Harbour Beach because it appeared to be unused, Florida Today reported Wednesday.

However, Edwards said her son later arrived home and informed her the aerator was his hiding place for the $900 he had made delivering pizzas." -UPI

I`m a strong believer in "finders keepers," if I find a stash of money in a brown paper bag in a parking lot or inside a fish-water aerator, I`m keeping it. I figure the money belongs to an idiot or a crook, so I might as well put it to good use.

But if I discovered that the money belonged to a kid who earned the cash delivering pizza, I would return it to its owner. The teen didn`t even lose the money, it was his clueless mom who was responsible for its loss.

Many good people have offered money to help the kid recoup his loss, but the mother is hoping that the dude who bought the fish-water aerator will return the money.
