UCF Recyclemania needs your help!

UCF Recyclemania needs your help!

By SOP newswire

Currently, the University of Central Florida is competing with universities across the country in Recyclemania 2007.  Last year, this ten-week waste reduction competition was dominated by West Coast schools Oregon State University, Point Loma Nazarene University, and two-time winner Cal State San Marcos.

RecycleMania runs through April 7, 2007 in on-campus residential halls only plus the Rosen College.  This competition provides the campus residential community a productive activity to implement waste reduction. The main goal of this activity is to raise awareness in the student body about campus recycling and waste minimization. Each school that competes is responsible for weighing the recyclables collected and reporting them on a weekly basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the waste accumulation on campus!

Currently, UCF is competing in the "per capita classic," and is currently ranked 121 out of 171.  Out of the four schools entered from Florida, UCF is ranked third behind UF and U of Miami.  Please help UCF rise in the rankings to become the winner from the state of Florida, and possibly of the competition!
