Cruise's "Mission Impossible 3" worth seeing

By Garrett Godwin

Hello, everyone!

This is Tom Cruise

International movie star

Advocate of Scientology

Recently new father to baby daughter Suri

Jumping for joy-- and on couches -- and is in crazy love with fiancee Katie Holmes

This is J.J Abrams

Creator, Writer, Director, and Executive Producer of three great shows:

Felicity (1998-2002)

Alias (2001-2006)

Lost (2004-present)

Put these two together, you got a recipe for the first summer blockbuster.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to see Mission: Impossible 3.

Code name: M:I 3

When you see the movie, you don't see Tom Cruise, but Ethan Hunt.  Once the leader and top operative of the Intelligence Mission Force (IMF), he is now training recruits, including Lindsay (Keri Russell, aka Felicity), whom Ethan thinks of as his little sister.  Ethan is also planning on settling down with his fiancee Julia (Michelle Monaghan)

But he is called back into action when Lindsay is being kidnapped by Owen Damian (Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman), the main villain of this movie.  However, things get personal when Julia is kidnapped by Damian.  With the aid of his team, including Luther Strickell (Ving Rhames), Ethan races against time to save her and bring down his opponent.  But can he tell Julia the truth before it is too late?

Like Abrams' Alias, M:I 3 not only has action, but also incredible stunts, intigure, suspense, twists and turns from everywhere-- good from beginning to end.  This film also has humor, such as Ethan talking to Luther about his relationship with Julia while on the job.  Also, it is heart because Ethan is more than a superspy.  He is now a guy ready to have a life with the woman he loves.

Cruise still proves that he still has game in this film.  He makes you forget about TomKat for two hours and just gives thrills when he's the heroic and human Hunt.  Hoffman was truly convincing as the really bad guy you love to hate-- which I did in this film.

Once your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to see M:I 3.  You won't be sorry.

This story will self-destruct in five seconds.
