"Hello, I Love you" A short film done by a high school student in Florida, which also won "Film of the Month" by the National Youth Filmmaker`s Society. First of all I would like to congratulate Jonny for being awarded film of the month.
Jonny realized that he wanted to become a filmmaker in 2005 when he was 16 years old. He was greatly inspired by Michael Gondry`s "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind."
The film had made such an impact in his life in a lot of ways; he couldn`t believe how much his life could change by watching this particular film. Jonny felt that it would be a cool thing to be able to make a person feel any way you want with your films and hopes to one day make that one film where everyone watches and leaves the theater a different person.
Jonny`s films are mainly based off of some kind of personal experience. The idea for "Hello I Love You" came to him when he was talking with his girlfriend about the kind of person he was before he was with her. There was a period in his life where he pretty much fell in "Love" with any girl that gave him the slightest bit of attention. Then suddenly would come to the conclusion that there was no way to fall for someone so quickly without even getting to know them first. The idea had popped into his head; he ran to the nearest pen and began writing. Within a couple of hours the draft was done.
The newest project that he is working on is a short film called "Beneath the Surface"
which is a about the journey of a dollar bill, and the lives of the different, yet similar people who come in contact with it. To see scenes from Jonny`s projects, go to:
