Judyth Piazza chats with Ted Sullivan, Filmmaker/Boy in the Drain Productions

Ted is a graduate of the University of Southern California`s Filmic Writing program. Immediately upon graduation, he sold two television movies to legendary producer Walter ("A Hard Day`s Night") Shenson. In 1997, he began writing for CBS` "As the World Turns" (1956)where he received an Emmy and Writer`s Guild nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Daytime Drama (1999). Ted then moved to ABC, where he wrote for "One Life to Live" (1968) before selling his third television movie, "Making It Big: The Natalie Laughlin Story," to the Lifetime Network.

In 2000, Ted switched to directing and producing, helming the Off-Broadway shows "Cary and Gallo: What If We Did This?" (with Patrick Gallo) and "Katie and CeCe: We`re Not That Way" (with CeCe Pleasants and Katie Massa), which enjoyed extended runs both in New York and Los Angeles. His last producing and directing stint was for the underground comedy show "The Ministry of Unknown Science."

Ted was a professor of screenwriting at his alma mater, USC.
