NCIS ranks their way with season two on DVD

By Garrett Godwin

Add a little bit of JAG minus the courtroom and add a little bit of CSI, and you have NCIS. From the mind of creator and executive producer Donald P. Bellasario (Airwolf, Quantum Leap), comes a series about a team of federal agents investigating military related crimes.  Headed by tough-as-nails Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), the team consists of irrepressible ex-homicide cop Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly); beautiful former Secret Service agent Caitlin "Kate" Todd (Sasha Alexander); spunky and energetic forensic expert Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), and medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum).  Joining the NCIS team in the second season is computer specialist and budding novelist Timothy "Tim" McGee (Sean Murray), who is also called "Probie" by DiNozzo, which means "rookie".

Available on DVD comes NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service, The Complete Second Season (2004-2005).  Featuring all 23 episodes, the DVD features audio commentaries on important episodes, Pauley Perrette gives viewers a tour of the lab, and much more.

Episode highlights of this season include the opener "See No Evil", in which the team must find and locate the kidnapped family of a Navy Captain, leading an unexpected climax towards the end.  Other highlights are "Call of Silence", featuring an Emmy-nominated performance by Charles Durning; "Witness" with Lifetime`s Inspector Mom herself Danica McKellar, and the finale "Twilight", in which a fan favorite of the NCIS team will not survive.

With weeks away from the secret of all secrets being reveal this season as well as season three coming out on Tuesday, continue to catch up the casework of NCIS as they continue to uphold the chain of command with the sophomore year of NCIS, available on DVD.
