Look for the Lost City in Stargate's Seventh Season on DVD

By Garrett Godwin

The band is truly back together when Daniel Jackson comes back to Earth in Stargate SG-1: Season 7, available on DVD. Thanks to an massive campaign, all is right for the fans when Michael Shanks returns to the series full-time, leading Dr. Jackson to be no longer an Ascended being and once again a member of SG-1 to continue their fight for humanity against the Goa'uld.

Like co-star, Christopher Judge (Teal'c) who wrote "Birthright", Shanks also penned an episode in season seven with "Resurrection", directed by cast member Amanda Tapping, in which Daniel tried to gain the trust of a human-Goa'uld hybrid.

Daniel's back as we say goodbye to Jonas Quinn (Corin Nemec) in the two-part opener "Fallen" and "Homecoming".  However, Jonas does come back in "Fallout", when he asks for SG-1's help to defend his home planet.

Episode highlights of season seven includes "Fragile Balance", in which O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson) has a mini-version of himself; "Inauguration" finds newly appointed Vice President Kinsey (Ronny Cox) trying to take control of the Stargate Program.

The two-part "Heroes" finds a documentary team shooting the on goings of Stargate Command, and a valuable member of SG-1 dies in the line of duty.

"Grace" and "Chimera" focus on Carter (Tapping), with the latter involving her romance with a police officer -- though fans still want her with O'Neill.

Available on DVD, Stargate SG-1: Season 7 features all 22 episodes with audio commentaries of cast and crew, and much more.

The arc for this season involves the team searching the Lost City of Ancients, setting the stage for both the season finale and the spin-off Stargate Atlantis.

Watch as the secrets of the universe are being unlocked with Stargate SG-1: Season 7, available on DVD.
