Vestige of the Vox Populi #23

Poi is the graceful spinning and twirling of objects like balls/streamers/lights attached to the end of a short rope, or ribbons, or staffs and swords and even nunchaku. There is a kind of martial arts quality to it that appeals to me.

It is sometimes known as fire spinning or fire dancing, because the objects are often on fire. I've long been impressed with Poi, so I'm teaching myself-- without the fire, and it's not as easy as it looks.

Tremendous agility, coordination and focus are required.
