Gear up and join the League for Smallville's sixth season on DVD

"The war is about to begin" -Clark Kent

The battle between good and evil, as well as the fight for justice, begins with Smallville: The Complete Sixth Season... now available on DVD.  Featuring all 22 episodes, the DVD has deleted scenes, audio commentaries, a behind-the-scenes look of the series, and more.

Season six finds former friends Clark (Tom Welling) and Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) now mortal enemies, not to mention rivals, as they're both in love with the same woman: Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk).  This triangle is one of several storylines for the season known as "the corruption of good".

Lex's Project 33.1 involves tracking and experimenting on people with special abilities, as the budding villain sets out to develop an army of super soldiers.

As the result of his breaking out of the Phantom Zone, Clark spends the season tracking those that have escaped to Earth, to capture -- or destroy them.

Joining Clark to fight the good fight in season six is billionaire Oliver Queen (Justin Hartley), aka Green Arrow, a modern-day Robin Hood superhero with a social conscience -- and Lois' new love interest.  Though they clashed a bit at first, the two end up becoming good friends and allies.  Other future superheroes Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash, with Clark and Chloe joining them and team leader Oliver as they set out to shut down Project 33.1, and the Justice League is born.

In Smallville's sixth season, Daily Planet reporter Chloe Sullivan (Alison Mack) finds romance with photographer Jimmy Olsen (Aaron Ashmore).  She also has her own story arc that traces back to her mother (Lynda Carter), leading her to wonder whether or not she has a super ability.

Still reeling from the death of the father that loved and raised him, as well as losing Lana to Lex, Clark finds guidance from two unlikely sources: Lionel Luthor (John Glover), who may or may not be trusted; the Martian Manhunter (Phil Morris), who aids Kal-El in finding the Zoners.

The Valentine's Day episode "Crimson" is a must-see for Lois (Erica Durance) and Clark fans, as they both become infected with red kryptonite -- and together crash Lex and Lana's engagement party.

Though the relationship between Clark and Lana was supposedly over last season, they're still drawn to one another.  "Hydro", "Trespass", and "Freak" finds Lana back on the trail of Clark's secret.  "Promise" has the wedding of Lex and Lana on its way, as emotions run high and hearts are conflicted... but no one expected what happened next when Lionel steps in.

"Nemesis" finds Lex and Clark trapped as they're forced to deal with the issues that ended their friendship, while having no choice but working together to get out alive.

The finale "Phantom" finds this season coming in full circle, as secrets are revealed, and several characters may not make it alive.

Clark Kent's journey to be the Man of Steel representing truth, justice, and the American Way continues with Smallville: The Complete Sixth Season, now available on DVD.
