Vestige of the Vox Populi # 62

By Sean Stubblefield

At the end of a science fiction-ish, first shooter puzzle video game called Portal, a quirky, geeky song plays, called “Still Alive”, composed for the game by Jonathan Coulton. The voice and musical genre sound something like a faintly computerized Frente; the instrumentation, style and subject are reminiscent of They Might Be Giants.

In this vid, the song plays against a backdrop of a black computer screen typing out the lyrics, giving the impression of a computer hacker‘s programming code.
