This Holiday Season, Get Three Times the CSI on DVD

By Garrett Godwin

People lie, but the evidence doesn't. Since 2000, CSI has become a worldwide phenomenon, focusing on the "howdunit" more than the "whodunit", as forensic investigators uses science and technology as well as their brains and street smarts to solve crimes.  The series spawned two spin-offs in 2002 and 2004, causing an effect on viewers and leading to several shows similar to CSI.

And all three are now available on DVD, each with 24 episodes and loaded with audio commentaries and plenty of bonus features.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation - The Complete Seventh Season

The Las Vegas Crime Lab continues to speak for the dead, as they set out to track down the Miniature Killer.

However, viewers were more interested in the secret romance between Grissom (William Petersen) and Sara (Jorja Fox).  This caused division among loyal fans, with some liking it while others believed the series "jumped the shark" because it is becoming overdramatic.

Feeling burnt-out from the job, Grissom decides to go on a teaching sabbatical for four weeks.  His replacement, brooding Michael Keppler (Liev Schreiber), causes friction and tension within the team, who's unsure of this man of mystery.

Season seven features 70s icons Danny Bonaduce and Roger Daltrey of the Who guest starring, and Melinda Clarke (The O.C.) reprised her reoccurring role as Lady Heather in "The Good, The Bad, and The Dominatrix".

The finale "Living Doll" finds the team finally discovering about Grissom and Sara-- whose life is hanging by the balance by the Miniature Killer.

CSI: Miami - The Complete Fifth Season

When you're in Miami, remember that Horatio Caine (David Caruso) and his team never close.  Joining the team is new CSI Natalia Boa Vista (Eva La Rue) and bad-boy police detective Jake Berkeley (Johnny Whitworth), who shares a complicated romantic history with Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Proctor).

The season begins in "Rio", with H and Delko (Adam Rodriguez) hunting down the man responsible for Marisol's murder, but the stakes get higher when the men must save Ray Jr. from Riaz.

Season 5 finds Caine making new enemies in the form of alluring yet alleged terrorist Sonya Barek, and facing old one such as escaped convict Clavo Cruz, who's out to even score with Caine.

However, this season finds the rest of the team such as Delko, Ryan Wolfe (Jonathan Togo), and Boa Vista going through tough times both professionally and personally, when both their lives and careers are hanging in the balance.  But all in all, Horatio Caine has their back, because he ... never ... close.

CSI: NY - The Complete Third Season

In gritty New York, Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) and his team believe that everything is connected.

It has been since 9/11 that Mac lost his wife, but he slowly and finally starts to move on when he begins a relationship with medical examiner, Dr. Peyton Driscoll (Claire Forlani).

Season 3 delves more into the team's background -- especially Lindsay Monroe (Anna Belknap), as she is forced to deal with her troubled past in Montana.

However, friendships and relationships are put to the test, as loyalties are divided within the team when Edward Furlong and Joey Lawrence shakes things up in their guest-starring roles as serial killers causing trouble for them.  But things get intense when Mac sets out to make sure one is behind bars for good ... even if it means risking his career.

Watch as their unsung heroes take on the plight of crime victims, with all three CSIs, now available on DVD.
