Go Now: March 25, 2008

By Garrett Godwin

I'm Garrett Godwin, and it is time to Go Now, here at the Student Operated Press (SOP).  It is the show that brings the latest on the addictive world that we all know and love so much as the world of entertainment. One Exits The World Of Daytime While Another Is Coming Back From Above

It has been confirmed that Martha Byrne will be leaving CBS' As The World Turns later this spring.  Byrne has been portraying Oakdale resident heroine Lily Walsh on-and-off since 1985, winning two Daytime Emmys.  For two decades, her character is one-half of supercouple with Holden Snyder (Jon Hensley), known to Internet fans as "Lilden" -- aka Lily and Holden.

So far, it is likely that the role will be recast.  Byrne's last episodes of As The World Turns will in April.  For more on her, check out the Q&A in the Soaps section online at

Byrne's former co-star, Cady McClain (ex-Rosanna) will reprise her role on ABC's All My Children as Pine Valley's saintly heroine Dixie Cooney Chandler Martin.  However, when we last saw Dixie, she died at the hands of the Satin Slayer due to poisoned pancakes -- leaving fans angered over both fans of daytime and the media.

However, Dixie will come back as a ghost to guide her true love Tad (Michael E. Knight) in reuniting him with their long-lost daughter Kate, who's being raised in Pine Valley by Nurse Julia Santos (Sydney Penny) as her adopted daughter Kathy, and only Dixie's ex-husband and Tad's sworn enemy, ruthless businessman Adam Chandler (David Canary) knows the truth.

McClain comes back to AMC on Friday, May 2.

Wentworth Miller's Big Break Will Continue

He's broken out of Fox River and most recently Sona.  Now, Michael Scofield is on the run again, as FOX renews Prison Break for a fourth season of 22-23 episodes.

The new season will pick up where the series' brief 13-episode third season (due to the writers' strike) left off, with Michael on a mission to avenge the death of his true love Sara, as he prepares to take on the powerful Company.

According to sources from, production for season four will move from Texas to Los Angeles.

The chase continues when Prison Break begins its new season this fall on FOX.
