Clint Eastwood In A Showdown With Spike Lee: Shut Ya Face

Clint Eastwood In A Showdown With Spike Lee: Shut Ya Face

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Clint Eastwood has advised rival film director Spike Lee to `shut his face` after the African-American complained about the racial make-up of Eastwood`s films.

In an interview with the Guardian published today, Eastwood rejected Lee`s complaint that he had failed to include a single African-American soldier in his films Flags of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima, both about the 1945 battle for the Japanese island."

Quotation from Guardian.Co.UK

"Shut his face" doesn`t have the resonance of "Do you feel lucky? Well Do Ya Punk?" or "Go ahead, make my day!", but it`s good to see that the 78-year-old actor/director still has some spunk.

Eastwood would be well advised not to actually say "Shut ya face" to Spike`s face, because he wouldn`t have a chance against the much younger Lee.

It`s good to see intellectuals engaging in a little bit of trash talk, why should wrestlers and basketball players have all the fun? Why can`t physicists and other scientists follow Eastwood`s example:

Bartholomew Fingerstein, PhD: Howie, why don`t you believe in string theory?

Howard Egghead: Ya beloved theory sucks. Ya can take those eleven dimensions and stick them up ya wazoo or the nearest black hole.

Eastwood claims that his films in question were about the soldiers who raised the flag at Iwo Jima, and that company didn`t include any black soldiers.

Clint, you`re still the man. Unlike your most famous character, Dirty Harry, you may no longer be able to hold a 44 Magnum, but your steely stare still intimidates wimps like me.
