Born Again Hottie Carrie Prejean Betrays Special Olympics

By Robert Paul Reyes

Carrie Prejean will not be appearing at the Special Olympics this weekend, the former Miss California confirmed in a statement to Access Hollywood.

`I have volunteered at the Special Olympics for the past several years; it is a cause very close to my heart. I was so excited to be invited as an honored guest and presenter of medals at the Special Olympics summer games this June,` she said in the statement. `I fully intended to go and volunteer once again in my private capacity. However, when I learned that Keith Lewis had called the event asking that a new Miss California USA attend in my place, I reluctantly decided for the good of the Olympians I should not be there at this time.`"

Carrie Prejean insists she was stripped of her crown because of her stand against same-sex marriage. Miss California pageant officials claim they canned the beauty queen because of breach of contract -- she failed to appear at many scheduled events.

Prejean`s behavior since her dethronement prove that it`s the pageant officials who are telling the truth.

Prejean had made a commitment to volunteer at the Special Olympics, but when she learned that the new Miss California was going to attend, she changed her mind. It`s one thing to stiff the pageant officials, but there`s a special place reserved in hell for those who break their word to the Special Olympics.

Prejean cares more about sparing herself embarrassment than she does about helping out the Special Olympics. Prejean`s shabby treatment of the Special Olympics should make her unemployable by any decent and ethical company. Her only hope is that she is hired by Rupert Murdoch to work at Fox News.
