Is A Michael Jackson Statue Made Of Butter In Bad Taste?

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Plans for a Michael Jackson statue made of butter are churning up so many comments that Iowa State Fair organizers are putting the proposal to a vote.

Organizers announced days after Jackson`s death that they would display a sculpture of the King of Pop along with the annual butter cow, a popular fair attraction." The Associated Press

Should a Michael Jackson statue made of butter be displayed at the Iowa State Fair?

I`m a huge fan of the King of Pop, but I don`t think it`s disrespectful to display a butter replica of Michael Jackson.

This unique work of art captures the irreverence and eccentricity of the King of Pop. Let`s get real, we`re talking about a man who slept with a chimp named Bubbles.

I`m not trying to butter up those who disagree with me, but I`m sure they are smart enough to realize that Jackson would have enjoyed seeing himself as a butter creation.

In any event the butter statue will only be on display for a few days -- there`s no need for anyone to get upset.

Fortunately, the King of Pop will never melt away. His legacy and his music will live forever.
