Paris Hilton Enraged Over "Vacant" Billboard

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Paris Hilton`s Los Angeles-based manager has threatened legal action against a New Zealand publicity company that is wooing advertisers to its empty billboards with a photo of the hotel heiress and the word `Vacant` below her face, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

Manger Jamie Freed told the Sunday Star-Times that the company, Media5, did not have permission to use Hilton`s image and they could expect to hear from Hilton`s lawyers." Read More

A picture is worth a thousand words, and the image which depicts Hilton partying perfectly conveys the meaning of "vacant." In fact, the word "vacant" on the billboard is superfluous, the photo of the vacuous celeb without any accompanying text clearly gets across the idea that the space is available for rent.

When I saw the pic on the billboard of Paris with her mouth wide open, I cried when I thought about the millions of innocent young girls who have fallen into that maw, and have embraced the pop star`s empty and meaningless lifestyle.

Unfortunately, Hilton will win her lawsuit, the billboard company doesn`t have permission to use her image. But the billboard company has performed an invaluable public service. Let this billboard, for as long as it remains standing, be a warning to young girls, to steer clear of the likes of Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Amy Winehouse, Lindsay Lohan, Lil` Kim, Denise Richards, Lily Allen, Pamela Anderson, Paula Abdul, Foxy Brown, and Carrie Prejean.
