Lin Yu Chun: YouTube Sensation! Geek Rocks!

By Robert Paul Reyes

In the old days there weren`t many overnight sensations, it took years for an entertainer to make a name for himself and hit the big time.

But with the advent of YouTube and reality shows, many unknowns are taking a shortcut to wealth and fame. Not all of them have conventional good lucks, witness Susan Boyle.

"A young Chinese singer with a booming voice is YouTube`s newest sensation, as a video of his performance on a talent show is earning him the title of 2010`s Susan Boyle.

Lin Yu Chun, a 23-year-old contestant on Taiwan`s `Super Star Avenue` can already boast a remarkable following. His performance of Whitney Houston`s hit rendition of `I Will Always Love You` earned him rave reviews from the judges and scores of Internet fans." Read More

Chun has a very unique appearance, let`s just say that he fits the stereotype of the Asian nerd. He has an androgynous look, he could be a 12-year-old boy or a 30-something woman. Most articles pin his age at 23, but who knows?

Chun is a William Hung with talent, and if he wins the Chinese talent show he will win a million bucks and get a record deal.

Watch, or maybe I should say close your eyes and listen, to his hit YouTube video!
