M.I.A Slams Lady Gaga

By Robert Paul Reyes

"M.I.A has lashed out at Lady GaGa once again, saying that she can`t bear the thought that people are now calling her name.

lady gagaThe rapper claimed that GaGa has copied the likes of Madonna, but will never match up to her unique style.

She told Y2K Daily: `I can`t talk about Gaga anymore. All I`ll say is, it`s upsetting when babies say ga-ga now. It used to be innocent. Now, they`re calling her name. You can`t really say that Gaga is culturally a change.`"

Lady Gaga is a unique and revolutionary figure that we see only once in a generation in the world of music. Lady Gaga has donned a couple of Madonna-inspired outfits, but it`s her way of paying homage to the Queen of Pop. Gaga is a trendsetter as a fashionista and as a performer, it`s unfair and untrue to call her a copycat.

M.I.A will be missing in action from the Billboard charts if she doesn`t keep her jealousy in check. The rapper should forget about Lady Gaga, and focus on her own career.

But I do agree with M.I.A that it is somewhat disconcerting to hear a baby say "gaga." Before Lady Gaga came along, the word "gaga" conjured images of purity, innocence and fun. Now when I hear the word less wholesome images come to my mind.
