Westboro Baptist Church Taunts Justin Bieber

The theology of the Westboro Baptist Church can be summed up in three words: God Hates Fags! The members of this cult-like sect have a selective memory, they forget the hundreds of verses of scripture that admonish us to love each other, and to do good in the world, and they fixate over a few obscure Old Testament verses that condemn homosexuality.
Westboro Baptist Church achieved notoriety by picketing the funerals of American soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. They believe that our brave soldiers deserve to die, because America tolerates homosexuality.
Unfortunately, Westboro Baptist Church isn`t an aberration, most evangelical Christian churches treat our gay brothers and sisters like second-class citizens. Any church can only be strenghtened by the inclusion of gays and lesbians -- let go of your hate, it`s the 21st Century.
It`s no surprise that Westboro Baptist Church targeted the gay-friendly Lady Gaga and her legions of gay fans. But Justin Bieber?
I am quick to come to the defense of Lady Gaga and gays and lesbians, but I hesitate to stand up for Justin Bieber. Westboro Baptist Church isn`t the only cult that`s a threat to our democratic ideals, the Bieber cult is strong enough to bring this country to its knees.
I can imagine an army of millions of tween girls gathering at the White House, demanding that Obama declare the birthday of Justin Bieber a national holiday.
If there`s a God in heaven he would punish the Westboro Baptist Church nutjobs by making them listen to Justin Bieber`s latest album for 24 straight hours.
