Bacon Freak Featured In New Health Book!
It`s always extremely exciting and satisfying to be proudly featured in someone else`s book, because it`s the surest sign in the world that you`re on track and doing things right! You see, when someone who is not in any way at all connected to Bacon Freak takes the time to offer us the "spot-light," it`s a very rewarding experience and I must confess that I am both humbled and honored by the inclusion.
This time around, we at www.BaconFreak.com are very excited to be positively featured in a book that is all about "Vision Health: Disease Prevention & Cure!"
It`s an awesome feeling when specialists in the healing professions find our bacon not only delectably delicious, but are willing to proudly promote a recipe that prominently features it along with broccoli in a delightful little dish dedicated to help improve vision and prevent it`s deterioration!
The book is called "Feast Your Eyes On This!" (Healthy Recipes That May Reduce Your Risk Of Age-Related Macular Degeneration.) The book has been written and released by the good folks over at EyeCare America (http://www.eyecareamerica.org) which is a truly awesome public service foundation brought to you by the "American Academy of Ophthalmology."
EyeCare America, which was originally founded back in 1985, is dedicated to doing everything in their power to effectively "reduce avoidable blindness and severe visual impairment" by raising awareness about eye disease and proper eye care, providing free eye health educational materials and facilitating access to medical eye professionals and treatment.
Their new cook book, "Feast Your Eyes On This!" features Bacon Freak`s wonderfully tasty," vision promoting" recipe for "Boss Hog`s Bacon - Broccoli Salad." For those of you who are new to www.BaconFreak.com, Boss Hog is the literal "body, mind, heart and soul" behind Bacon Freak, our very own owner and proprietor Rocco Loosbrock.
Scientific research shows that eating foods rich in antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin, as well as beta-carotene, vitamin C, vitamin E and zinc can help you to effectively prevent or delay the development of the age related eye disease.
Our recipe naturally provides an excellent supply of antioxidants, lutein and zeaxanthin by way of the broccoli used in the recipe, as well a healthy helping of zinc and protein that comes from our award winning gourmet bacon.
A large number of our members and regular customers have informed us that they prefer to add a little bit of our very own, all natural "Coastal Vineyards Olive Oil (Please see www.CVWine.com) along with some vinegar to the recipe`s salad dressing in order to create a little tantalizing taste of the Mediterranean to the meal. These people get the additional benefits of a healthy dose of vitamin E as well.
The truth of the matter is, making healthy dietary choices that will better maintain and improve our eyesight shouldn`t be "viewed" as a some sort of a dining sacrifice, but rather, it should be seen as an opportunity to re-evaluate old, negative habitual patterns and begin to make wiser and even tastier decisions regarding what we enjoy eating!
To find out more about the book "Feast Your Eyes On This!" and to download it for yourself or a loved one absolutely FREE, simply go to: http://www.eyecareamerica.org where you can learn a vast variety of ways to make the positive changes and additions to your daily diet that will improve and protect your eyesight,
EyeCare America also provides free eye exams for people 65 years of age and older. Those interested in inquiring about the free eye exams can call 1-866-324-EYES for further information. Here`s to our vision and a more flavorful healthy way to eat.
