Grave's Family Still Seeks Justice

Grave's Family Still Seeks Justice

By Brandon Jennings

(Ft. Pierce, Fla.)  It is a new year, and the investigation of the murder of Benjamin Graves Jr. has yet to produce any suspects.  In an attempt to encourage anyone with information to come forward, the Fort Pierce Police Department has offered a reward of $2000 to anyone who can help end this case.

Last September, Graves and Emmanuel Hepburn were found lying in the backyard of 916 N. 22nd St. with gunshot wounds.  Hepburn was airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in West Palm Beach where he recovered; however, Graves died at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.

Witnesses spotted a black Acura during the shooting and police located it near Avenue I and 16th street.  Evidence collected from the vehicle confirmed it was used in the double shooting.  However, despite having the car used in the crime, there are still no suspects.

If anyone has information regarding this case, please contact Ft. Pierce Police Detective Zoila Simmons at 1-800-272-TIPS (8477) you do not have to give your name, and you may be eligible for a reward.
