By Inactive Writer

TRENTON, N.J.--A man tried to lure two girls, ages 11 and 13, into his car at about 8 a.m. on December 4th at Smith and Jersey Streets. He asked the Hispanic girls if they could assist him in looking for his puppy.

The girls rejected the offer and continued walking to school, and later reported the incident to the Trenton Police Department.

The girls described the suspect as a black male wearing a black ski mask and operating an older model grey vehicle with rust on the front the car and the side. The police department dispatched numerous officers to the scene of the attempt, but found nothing.

The police will continue to provide this area with extra attention," Director Joseph Santiago of the Trenton Police Department stated.

"It is important that when a stranger is in your neighborhood, especially as in this case, accosting young girls, to call the police immediately," he continued.

The TPD assigned this investigation to Detective Robin Gittens.

If you have any information about this incident, please contact the Trenton Police Department.
