Armed Trespassing Arrest at UCF

By SOP newswire

The University of Central Florida Police Department wanted to advise the Campus community of an arrest regarding a non-student made on April 21, 2007 @ 2:30 p.m.  The arrest was made at the Pegasus Pointe apartment complex.  A UCFPD on-duty patrol Sergeant, noticed the defendant from a previous arrest that ocurred back in January 2007, in front of the Recreation & Wellness Center.

The subject was arrested and charged with Armed Trespassing.  An AK47 assualt rifle, two magazines, and one revolver were confiscated from the scene.  The defendant told the arresting officers he used the weapon(s) for personal protection.  The University PD does not have any evidence the defendant meant to harm anyone.  The defendant has been released from the Orange County Jail.
