Bridgeport City Harbor Plant

By mid-2008, the CT Mercury law will require control of the Bridgeport City Harbor plant. The law will establish an 85% reduction of pollution. However, many individuals are concerned with the long- lasting and detrimental effects on the environment. For instance, this plant is linked to the 21% of surveyed households with children diagnosed with asthma. There is no word, yet, as to what is going to be done to help individuals, living within the vicinity of the plant, cope with health related conditions.

For more information regarding this plant’s emission of mercury into the atmosphere please read: Mercury Poisoning Still a Big Concern.
