Human Rights is a Nightmare

Human Rights is a Nightmare

By Md Mahmudul Hasan, Immigration Lawyer,Dhaka,Bangladesh

Yes, it is right that we are always talking about Human Rights but where is Human Rights? If you sincerely concentrate about the world situation you will see that these words are completely a group of fake worlds in the dictionary of ruling government. If I just say about my country Bangladesh we will see that human rights is being violated seriously especially by the government forces. The extra-judicial killing that means "CROSS FIRE" has become a common practice by the law enforcing agencies in Bangladesh.

Now the government-founded organization " Nation Human Rights Commission" has been bound to report the government to investigate about the extra judicial killing by the law enforcing agencies. I appreciate Learned Justice Amirul Kabir Chowdhury, Chairnman of " Nation Human Rights Commission" for his boldness to speak against the government about extra-judicial killing. Although we are telling a lot but in practice nothing is being happened. This mentality of the government should be changed. The government has to enact strong laws in order to do trial the alleged offenders but it is not supported to kill alleged offenders by crossfire. We hope that the present government will be sincere about it.
