By SOP newswire

ARAB JABOUR — Coalition troops on patrol here found a cache of hidden ordnance Sept. 17.

Soldiers from Company A, 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, discovered two partially-buried 155mm artillery rounds.

The infantrymen called an explosive ordnance disposal team to safely detonate the rounds. The munitions could have been used to create improvised explosive devices to be used against Coalition Forces.

Soldiers of the 1-30th Inf. Regt. have discovered multiple caches over the past week, many due to the assistance of the concerned citizens groups working to secure their neighborhoods and critical infrastructure.
