Artist on the Rise

Artist on the Rise

By Ashley Mathews

As an artist who has been compared to some of the greats-- such as, Marvin Gaye and David Ruffin, D.Goode is definitely under pressure to meet high expectations. However, his album “This Is New School,” proves he measures up. His background in music is probably the cause for this buzz. D.Goode grew up in Trenton, NJ listening to the sounds of his father’s keyboard and guitar. This album makes it clear that D.Goode appreciates the old school music he listened to growing up.

The songs on the album are a mixture of R&B, love ballots, up-tempo, and smooth soul that compliments his sexy male model look. On the third track, “Let’s Make Love,” he sings about role playing, ruff sex, and satisfying a woman. “Lets Make Love”, I’ll lay you Down, Baby let’s touch between the sheets if you like it ruff - “I’ll do you anyway you want.” Next, he breaks down the chorus with his seductive sound.

In addition, this track and a few others can be heard on www.myspace.com/dbgoode and you can listen to and purchase the album at www.dgoodelive.com. Further proof of his talent is “See you smile,” which features DJ Amaze and was produced by Sean Bryant. This upbeat song gets your body moving and is a guaranteed to be a hit.

Moreover, if you are still not convinced that this New Jersey native is the next big thing, just listen to “Beautiful,” on which D.Goode serenades the ladies about the inner and outer beauty that they possess. That pretty much sums it up. D.Goode is pushing a hot album that should make the ladies go crazy and the men pick up some tips on lovemaking.
