Murdered Fla. Couple With 17 Kids: Many Questions, Few Answers
"An ex-convict who taught self-defense to children. A day laborer who served prison time for killing a man in a fight. An Air Force staff sergeant attached to an elite special operations unit.
Somehow, authorities say, they ended up part of a loosely connected group of seven men charged in the shooting deaths of Byrd and Melanie Billings, a wealthy Florida Panhandle couple known for adopting children with special needs." http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,532660,00.html?test=latestnews
The word "tragic" is casually tossed around whenever someone dies or is killed, but the murders of Byrd and Melanie Billings is truly tragic.
Many people retire to Florida to enjoy the beautiful weather and live the good life, but the Billings were more interested in providing a good home to the many special needs children they adopted.
The killers robbed the children of parents who showered them with love, and provided them with a good home. I pray that the authorities will find good homes for the kids.
So far the police have arrested seven suspects, ages 16 to 56, and they are looking for two other "persons of interest". Law enforcement authorities say that robbery was the main motive, but that it`s a complicated case and that there are other motives at play.
The public is outraged at this horrific crime, and we have a right to know all the details. The police are holding back a lot of information, probably for legitimate reasons. But the cops should share the whole story, as soon as possible.
We want to know why an Air Force sergeant, a martial arts expert who volunteered his time teaching self-defense to children, and a 16-year old kid donned ninja outfits and precipitated a home invasion that led to the murder of two persons.
We don`t like mysteries, and we want to know all the facts of this horrible case.
