Curious Octopus Floods Aquarium Offices

Curious Octopus Floods Aquarium Offices

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Staff at the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium in California say the trickster who flooded their offices with sea water was armed. Eight-armed, to be exact.

They blame the soaking they discovered Tuesday morning on the aquarium`s resident two-spotted octopus, a tiny female known for being curious and gregarious with visitors. The octopus apparently tugged on a valve and that allowed hundreds of gallons of water to overflow its tank." The Associated Press

Writing stories about Octomom is too depressing, it will be more fun to tackle this story about an octopus.

A gregarious octopus? How can you tell if an octopus is sociable, does it shake hands with eight persons at the same time?

We know how an octopus can demonstrate it`s curious, namely by tugging on a valve and unleashing hundreds of gallons of water.

I don`t blame the little critter, I imagine it`s almost impossible to stay out of trouble when nature has blessed (cursed?) you with eight limbs. Imagine if Britney Spears had eight arms, she`d be dropping a baby with one arm, pinching some guy`s butt with another, shaving her head with another, and drinking a beer with yet another. You get the idea.
