Commuter Cat Casper Killed By Car, England Mourns

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A cat which became famous in Britain for riding on the buses around the southern English city of Plymouth has died after being run over, media reported.

Casper, a 12-year-old black and white cat, used to wait with commuters at a bus stop outside his home and then hop on to the number 3 bus to find a seat to curl up on.

The cat was so well-known on the service that drivers knew at which stop to let him off." Reuters

You`ve all heard of Casper the Friendly Ghost, here`s a tale about Casper the Friendly Kitty.

Casper performed an invaluable service to his community, and he is sorely missed by one and all. If anyone needs cheering up it`s bus passengers who have to put up with pushing and shoving and loud music.

The sight of a kitty jumping on board a bus, and curling up on a seat, would always bring a smile to the harried bus passengers. Casper`s antic fortified the commuters for their long and dreary day at the office.

Casper touched thousands of lives, and it should make us wonder how many lives have we impacted? Very few of us have the genius to discover a cure for a deadly disease or the talent to sing before thousands. But it doesn`t take much to spread a little bit of love in the world. Casper brightened the lives of multitudes simply by being himself.

The next time you hop on a bus, think of Casper, and smile at your fellow passengers, or give up your seat to an elderly person.
