Everybody Loves Oscar The Bionic Cat

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A cat whose back legs were chopped off in a farming accident has been given a new bionic pair, in a ground-breaking feline first in Britain.

Two-and-a-half year old Oscar lost at least one of his nine lives when he was run over by a combine harvester last October -- but eight months later he has regained a spring in his step.

There are a lot of irresponsible pet owners who abandon their cats and dogs when the critters get too old or when they grow weary of taking care of them.

Pet Oscar`s owner, Kate Nolan, didn`t give up on her kitty after his gruesome accident. Kate spend thousands to fit her beloved pet with prosthetic paws.

Oscar may have only one life left, but he is running around with a spring in his step.

I commend Kate for sparing no expense to save her cat`s life, and I congratulate the vet for the great job that he did.

Oscar is a great inspiration to us all: We can bounce back, with a spring in our step, from even the most horrible accidents and misfortunes.
