I Just Can't Say

I Just Can't Say

By Deremiah *CPE (Mentor/Columnist)

I just can't say...
but it feels good,
knowing you're there
when I need you.
So how can I lead you
to believe?
"Sayin it" ain't all in the sayin...
like "Playin it" ain't all in the playin'
or "Prayin' it" ain't all in the prayin'.
Or "Bein' it" ain't all in the bein',
like "Seein' it" ain't in the way you're seein'.

But things you say are more than what you said,
when your words registered thoughts in my head.
Went off like a flash light
shining in the darkest of the
thickest moon night.
I could have missed it
between the spaces,
lost in lower letter cases, packed out of places
hidden between the empty solaces.
were the misnomers,
triples that should have been homers.
How many times have I seen this before,
like dejavu, who's really who?
I just can't say...

but it feels good,
knowing you're there
when I need you.

I could have thought twice
but once was enough
life can have you seated
Sur-faces seem rough.
between the soft and the hard
Healing is the only prevention
that keeps you from being scarred.
did I bother to mention that
tension, like apprehension, creates fear instead of suspension?
above every misguided love there is an angel
that rearranges your every angle
reconstructing loose ends,
the frazzled, left razzled, bedazzled,
Are all straightened out.
mending the chance for self doubt.
sometimes I want to shout.
I just can't say....

but it feels good,
knowing you're there
when I need you.
