Sometimes...

By Juliet Maruru

Sometimes I laugh for no reason at all,
its just a gust of wind with a spray of salt,
coming in from the sea to say hello,

Sometimes I cry for no reason at all,
that is because the stars refuse to twinkle,
just when I want to hear a hello,

Sometimes I rant for no reason at all,
right when it's all going good up my tree,
good luck has come in to say hello,

Sometimes you just don't want to talk,
when my gust of love sprinkles sand and salt,
and I just want to yell love and hello,

Sometimes you just don't want to talk,
when I'm being everything I was back then,
when I could only whisper a mumbled hello,

Sometimes you just don't want to talk,
because my salt and sand just isn't it,
when you want some else to say hello,

Sometimes I just count you as my friend,
when your sums don't fit me in with yours,
I whisper before the sleep pill works, hello,

Sometimes, just some, I am sorry friend,
I promise I'll grow up someday, some soon,
Then you might be proud as I pass by, hello.

Sometimes, I miss the voice, with that accent,
I restrain the salt, sand and wind up my tree,
when you forgive me, I hope you will say hello.
