An Ending Corner

An Ending Corner

By David Bedworth

My fellow suns are on the wane,

redness cooling slowly in crumbling bits of time.

My planets serve their normal course,

except for Earth who slowly dies.

It was the best in all my time,

yet has flared and faded so deeply blue.

I will burn on as matter does,

watching across my minute patch.

Have I reached the end of time?

Will things pull back or drift away?

I love this final part of the scene

Where my brightness gleamed an ending corner . . .
