Well now, remember when you were a kid and your father or granddad would say “They don’t build ‘em like they used to”, or “They just don’t build ‘em like the classics (meanin’ cars, of course).” You know, like back when we didn’t have to worry about emissions or the air we breathe, or the environment for that matter. Back then things just seemed to last longer and were simpler. Or, at least that’s what I’m told.

Those days are gone. Now, take space travel for instance, which isn’t relatively new but it seems to me that, now-a-days, not a single space mission takes off without having some issue or another with something falling off the outside or something failing. I guess it goes to show you that a billion or two less dollars can make all the different in quality. Then again, maybe we should sneak a peek under the hood of this galactic “Desoto” and see where it was made. Hopefully, we don’t find labels saying “Made in China” or “Inspected by Mattel”. Now, here’s a plan, BUY AMERICAN, AND MAKE IT HERE TOO!

It’s pretty sad that they had to recall all the toy army trucks (made in China) because of lead, for the safety of our children. And yet, our sons and daughters face the danger of another kind of lead every single day in this war. And, I can’t “RECALL” the last time they considered “RECALLING” our enemy’s weapons to protect our boys and girls over there.
