Sergey Lavrov Meets Jaap Ramaker, Special Representative of the Ratifying States to Promote the Entry into Force of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov on November 12 met visiting Special Representative of the Ratifying States to Promote the Entry into Force of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) Jaap Ramaker.
Sergey Lavrov reaffirmed Russia’s invariable support for the CTBT as one of the key elements of the nuclear nonproliferation regime and an effective instrument in nuclear arms limitation.
Ramaker’s consultations with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Kislyak and Ambassador at Large Grigory Berdennikov also took place. During the consultations the necessity was stressed of building up international community efforts for securing the entry into force of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test Ban Treaty at the earliest possible date.
