John McCain benefits from Huckabee surrender

John McCain benefits from Huckabee surrender

By SOP newswire

By now you have probably seen Governor Mike Huckabee's dignified and graceful exit from the GOP Presidential race last night.  Personally, I intend to stay with the Republican Party and to support our nominee since that is the only rational alternative to the accelerated, irreparable harm that would be done to the country under a Clinton or Obama Presidency.

The degree of enthusiasm and the amount of time and effort I devote to supporting Senator McCain will be determined by his good faith demonstration that he has repudiated some of his past positions.

I encourage you to contact the Senator's campaign through his web site and share any outstanding concerns you still have.  The foundation of a sound, robust national security strategy is the economic component of national power with a strong, sustainable and expanding middle class which is impossible to achieve with unrestricted immigration and amnesty.  It is impossible to defeat a transnational Islamo-fascist terrorist enemy with open borders.

Senator McCain can best demonstrate his commitment to those ends by selecting a Vice Presidential candidate with a proven track record of a strong commitment to strengthening national defense; preserving our sovereignty; the value of all human life; constructing the border fence; and, meeting the challenge of China's emergence as a military superpower that is taking large portions of America's industrial base and wartime production surge capability.
