Question About Viagra Leaves John McCain Mute

Question About Viagra Leaves John McCain Mute

By Robert Paul Reyes

Nature abhors a vacuum, and politicians abhor dead air. It took eight seconds before John McCain could answer a question related to Viagra. I realize it`s uncomfortable for a man McCain`s age to answer a question about Viagra, but it shouldn`t take him as long as a typical romantic interlude with his wife.

John McCain

When the reporter asked why many health insurance companies cover Viagra for men but not birth control for women, McCain looked as uncomfortable as a nun at a Swingers convention. For eight seconds, McCain contorted his face and covered it with his hand, before he could utter a single word.

I hope Barack Obama is taking notes; all he has to do is ask McCain a question about Viagra in a debate and McCain is dead in the water.

I`m sure our foreign adversaries also took note of McCain`s "Senior Moment". If McCain changes his mind and meets with the president of Iran, all Ahmadinejad has to do is mention Viagra and he will win any negotiations.

Ahmadinejad: We will dismantle our nuclear facilities if you give us a trillion dollars, a million bushels of wheat, a thousand bottles of Viagra and your daughters to serve as my concubines.

McCain: (After 8 seconds of stunned silence) OK, we have a deal

"What many are calling Senator John McCain´s `Viagra moment` has become fodder for a new television ad from the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the political and advocacy arm of the abortion rights group.

The 30-second ad features a video clip of Mr. McCain´s long, long pause and subsequent "duck" (his word) of a reporter´s question about whether he thinks it is fair that some health insurance companies cover the drug Viagra but not birth control pills.

`I don´t usually duck an issue, but I`ll try to get back to you,` Mr. McCain told the reporter while traveling aboard his Straight Talk Express bus last week."

Quotation from the New York Times

John McCain is out of touch when it comes to women`s health. He is out of touch, period. We can`t afford to elect a president who will turn mute when he`s asked a tough question. He should rename his campaign bus "The Senior Moment Express."
