Liberal Rocker Jackson Browne Suing John McCain for Copyright Infringement

By Robert Paul Reyes

"File under lying in the bed you made: Jackson Browne is suing John McCain, the national Republican Party and the Ohio Republican Party for copyright infringement, the LA Times reports.

At issue: a McCain ad that mocks Barack Obama for recommending drivers increase mileage by checking tire pressure. Browne`s song `Running on Empty` is used as the soundtrack."

Jackson Browne is the poster boy for progressive political activism, his songs are infused with his liberal ideology.

For the GOP to appropriate one of his hits for a political ad is a despicable and cynical act. The Neanderthal political beliefs of John McCain are anathema to Jackson Browne.

In 1979 Browne founded "Musicians United for Safe Energy", an anti-nuclear organization. John McCain wants to go on a nuclear power station building binge, he should be ashamed of himself for using a Browne song on his ad.

John McCain Is running on empty, and his political ads linking Obama to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears and this latest one using the Browne hit show an air of desperation.
